However, if your drive includes European cars or you're seeking more advanced features, you might just want to shop around to avoid potential shortcomings. ## Pros - Quickly diagnosed a transmission problem in about five minutes. - Provides a cost-effective alternative to going to a shop for diagnostics. - Compatible with nearly any car sold in North America since 1996. - Free app that shows trouble codes and lists potential causes and remedies. - Easily plugs in, downloads the app, and checks codes – seriously could it be any easier? - Acts like a Bluetooth mechanic, and who doesn’t want a mechanic in their pocket? - Seamless compatibility with both Android and iPhone, it’s bi-tech-savvy. - Capable of diagnosing and clearing error codes on multiple vehicles. - Comparable diagnostic capability to professional shop equipment. - Provides common fixes and links to relevant parts on Amazon. ## Cons - Provided inaccurate diagnostic results, leading to incorrect part purchase. - Customer support was responsive but unable to explain the error. - Required professional mechanic diagnosis to identify actual issue. - Overall disappointing experience with product reliability. - Limited compatibility with European cars, similar performance to much cheaper scanners. - Integration with some Toyota models is missing advanced features like AirBag code reading and full VIN recognition. - Needs expanded support for European vehicles. - Bi-directional capability would be a valuable addition. - Requires an online connection through an Android or iOS device. - Firmware upgrades function effectively but could be more intuitive. ## Specifications | Attribute | Value | |-----------|-------| | product_name | BlueDriver Bluetooth Pro OBD2 Car Scan Tool and Code Reader -
