# Blackstone 2224 Tabletop Griddle *Published: 2025-12-23 | Updated: 2025-12-23 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/blackstone-2224-tabletop-griddle* --- **Brand:** BLACKSTONE **Price Range:** $34.99 - $267.79 across 22 retailers ## Pros - Provides a satisfying cooking experience, especially for first-time griddle users. - Cooks food to perfection with two separate heat zones, enabling versatile temperature control. - Ideal for outdoor cooking, frequently praised for preparing bacon and fish exceptionally well. - Built solidly with durable steel construction that feels sturdy and reliable. - Comes with a hood that adds versatility by allowing covered cooking options. - Includes a thoughtful orange silicone handle cover to prevent burns. - Supports small propane tanks natively, and has an available adapter to use larger 20 lb tanks. - Mostly straightforward assembly requiring only the attachment of legs and the upper hood section. - Customer service is responsive and helpful, with some reviewers highlighting positive interactions. ## Cons - Quite heavy and bulky, making it less than ideal for frequent transport on camping trips. - The ignitors on both sides reportedly fail or are unreliable, often requiring manual lighting with matches. - Heating can be uneven; the griddle surface sometimes warps or struggles to heat near the edges, causing food to stick. - Propane regulator line placement on the right side can interfere with folding tables by taking up valuable shelf space. - The registration and warranty process is confusing, with unnecessary additional warranty options that complicate the experience. - Some users experienced weak gas flow or ignition issues that were not fixed even after troubleshooting or replacing parts. - Slight teetering or instability in the base requires minor fixes like washers. - Occasional reports of loose parts in the box, such as nuts without clear purpose. - Food sticking remains an issue until proper seasoning is done and maintained. - One reviewer expressed disappointment with performance relative to price. ## About This Product Just because you are traveling doesn’t mean you have to compromise the quality of your cooking. The 22" Tabletop Griddle with Hood is the ideal cooking companion for any occasion. With 339 square inches of cold steel to cook on, you won’t be disappointed!
