# Birdbuddy PRO Solar Bird Feeder *Published: 2026-03-30 | Updated: 2026-03-30 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/birdbuddy-pro-solar-bird-feeder* --- **Brand:** Bird Buddy **Price Range:** $179 - $525.2 across 11 retailers ## Pros - Setup is extremely easy, even for non-tech savvy users, with clear instructions and quick pairing via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. - The AI bird species identification feature is highly accurate, educational, and even detects signs of illness, adding real value for bird enthusiasts and families. - Camera quality is impressive, capturing vibrant 5MP photos and stunning 2K HD videos, including slow-motion clips that highlight intricate bird details. - The solar-powered roof effectively keeps the battery charged automatically under good sunlight conditions, reducing the need for manual recharging. - Real-time notifications and an engaging app experience make bird watching interactive and enjoyable, enhancing the overall experience. - The feeder attracts a wide variety of bird species quickly, providing an immersive outdoor observation opportunity. - Privacy-conscious design blurs backgrounds, focusing only on the feeder area for discreet and respectful bird photography. - Durable, weatherproof construction supports reliable outdoor use and family bonding through birdwatching. ## Cons - The solar panel struggles in low sunlight during winter, necessitating weekly manual recharges to keep the feeder operational. - Seed capacity is fairly limited (about 2 cups or 0.9L), requiring frequent refills, sometimes daily depending on bird activity. - The small food access door and awkward seed refill process (cannot fill while upright) make feeding tedious and prone to spills. - Camera is held by a small magnet, which feels flimsy and vulnerable to being pulled off or damaged. - Solar roof cable routing is awkward and exposed, making it an easy target for squirrels, which can chew through cables and damage the feeder. - Overall design shows frustrating usability and durability issues, particularly with feeder refilling and hardware vulnerability to wildlife interference. - Requires reliable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi coverage to function properly, which may limit placement options for some users. ## Specifications | Attribute | Value | |-----------|-------| | Brand Name | Bird Buddy | | Included Components | 1x AI-Powered Camera Bird Feeder, 1x Metal Hanger, 1x Seed Scoop, 1x USB-C Charging Cable, 1x Universal Mount and Screws, 1x Solar Roof | | UPC | 850035422441 | | Manufacturer | Bird Buddy | | Model Number | BBG1003BAD | | Manufacturer Part Number | BBG1003BAD | | Best Sellers Rank | #4,724 in Patio, Lawn & Garden (See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden) #72 in Wild Bird Feeders | | ASIN | B0DHY6B9GY | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars | | Theme | Birds & Bugs | | Color | Blue | | Target Species | Birds | | Recommended Uses For Product | Bird Feeding Station | | Additional Features | 2K Camera, AI Powered Bird Feeder, UV Resistant, User-Friendly App, Weatherproof | | Mounting Type | Hanger (included), Universal Pole Mount (included), Wall Mount (not included) | | Power Source | Rechargeable Battery (USB-C Charging or Solar Panel) | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 6.89"L x 6.3"W x 9"H | | Capacity | 0.9 liters | | Item Weight | 1.63 kg | ## Last Seen Prices | Retailer | Price | Availability | Last seen | Store's standard terms | |----------|-------|-------------|-----------|------------------------| | [retailers/target](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/b9be5f60-ba5c-db84-95c6-ff1b39928eb1/offers/1c10ad73-6927-7ae0-bff9-8658a6185347?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $179.00 | In Stock | 2025-12-21 (may have changed) | 90-day returns (in store too) · free return shipping · free shipping on $35+ | | [Amazon](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/b9be5f60-ba5c-db84-95c6-ff1b39928eb1/offers/b95146f2-f263-49c8-322d-5ec7105aae3b?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $179.00 | In Stock | 2026-08-07 (may have changed) | 30-day returns (in store too) | | [retailers/bestbuy](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/b9be5f60-ba5c-db84-95c6-ff1b39928eb1/offers/91a8a753-c322-d23a-71a1-bca7f39e02c9?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $299.00 | In Stock | 2025-12-21 (may have changed) | 15-day returns (in store too) · free return shipping · free shipping on $35+ | | [flameslux.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/b9be5f60-ba5c-db84-95c6-ff1b39928eb1/offers/dcecc4ea-3e3f-cff1-fd6a-9bc5fc13f608?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $430.20 | In Stock | 2026-08-07 (may have changed) | | | [godwellbloom.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/b9be5f60-ba5c-db84-95c6-ff1b39928eb1/offers/ce285c73-547a-b21d-4c21-5257925a2cdc?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $443.85 | In Stock | 2026-08-07 (may have changed) | | | [j1zqpa-ft.myshopify.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/b9be5f60-ba5c-db84-95c6-ff1b39928eb1/offers/1f615871-bea7-603e-7828-3ef6b33144ec?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $445.87 | In Stock | 2026-08-07 (may have changed) | | | [smartcart02.store](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/b9be5f60-ba5c-db84-95c6-ff1b39928eb1/offers/ee037fee-405c-622c-6522-2e9ee7bbecd6?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $478.00 | In Stock | 2026-08-07 (may have changed) | | | [backyard-botanics.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/b9be5f60-ba5c-db84-95c6-ff1b39928eb1/offers/d9c606d9-8ee7-37c7-fb1a-94c34889abf8?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $493.35 | In Stock | 2026-08-07 (may have changed) | | | [garden-whisper.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/b9be5f60-ba5c-db84-95c6-ff1b39928eb1/offers/c8c3c21d-ab12-25e4-ce14-be690804009f?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $493.35 | In Stock | 2026-08-07 (may have changed) | | | [tipandglow.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/b9be5f60-ba5c-db84-95c6-ff1b39928eb1/offers/24538b94-f97c-ddef-d926-17785d5388c3?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $516.24 | In Stock | 2026-08-07 (may have changed) | | | [phishstonesproducts.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/b9be5f60-ba5c-db84-95c6-ff1b39928eb1/offers/e7602b5d-20c6-d281-9360-8c710d373715?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $525.20 | In Stock | 2026-08-07 (may have changed) | | *Store terms are each retailer's standard return and shipping policy from ShopSavvy's retailer research; some products and categories differ, so check with the store before buying.* [See every retailer and the full price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/birdbuddy-pro-solar-bird-feeder) --- *About this page: ShopSavvy compares prices across thousands of retailers, aggregates expert and user reviews, and tracks price history to help you make informed buying decisions.
