# Avalon Organics Peppermint Shower Gel *Published: 2025-01-22 | Updated: 2024-12-27 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/avalon-organics-peppermint-shower-gel* --- **Brand:** Avalon **Price Range:** $2.98 - $108.95 across 79 retailers ## Pros - The lotion provides excellent moisturization, strengthening the skin barrier against irritation. - It has a comforting light scent of lavender, ylang ylang, and chamomile, which is great for nighttime use. - The texture is similar to Aveeno's Daily Moisturizing lotion, absorbing easily without stickiness. - Contains glycerin and colloidal oatmeal, known to soothe dry, itchy, and irritated skin. - Users who enjoy a light scent find increased pleasure compared to unscented options. - Highly recommended for its effective formulation and pleasant scent. ## Cons - The reformulation has introduced a scent that many describe as artificial and overly strong. - The new formula has a greasy texture, leaving an unpleasant residue on the skin. - Users have reported headaches due to the new scent, compared to the previous calming aroma. - Long-time customers feel betrayed by the formula changes and lack of communication from the brand. - Rebranding has led to a loss of customer loyalty and increased dissatisfaction. - There are concerns that the primary moisturizing emollient is petroleum, which not all users prefer. - Packaging changes were perceived as tacky and detracting from the overall experience. - Users miss the original blend of lavender and other essential oils. - Oat kernel flour, a preferred ingredient, appears lower in concentration. - The scent can be reminiscent of cheap fragrances, detracting from its appeal. ## About This Product Product Description Aveeno Stress Relief Moisturizing Body Lotion with lavender scent and prebiotic oat helps calm and relax you while moisturizing for a full 24 hours to leave skin soft and smooth.
