# ASTRO A20 Wireless Headset Gen 2 *Published: 2025-12-23 | Updated: 2025-12-23 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/astro-a20-wireless-headset-gen-2* --- **Brand:** ASTRO Gaming **Price Range:** $36 - $517.89 across 115 retailers ## Pros - Extremely lightweight and comfortable for extended gaming sessions thanks to soft, breathable ear cups that prevent heat build-up. - Exceptional battery life that can last all day or even several days with normal use. - Rugged and durable construction designed to withstand regular use without visible weak points. - Good sound quality, delivering loud and clear audio well-suited for gaming, with precise volume control for chat and game audio mixing. - User-friendly operation with straightforward controls and a flip-to-mute microphone that offers clear voice communication. - Attractive White/Blue color scheme that nicely complements the PlayStation 5 aesthetic. - Completely wireless design using a 2.4 GHz USB dongle for free movement and extended wireless range. - Adjustable ear cup arms allow for a customizable fit to some degree. ## Cons - Microphone volume can be lower than expected, and the mic arm design is weak, prone to sagging or requiring maintenance over time. - Software is buggy, limiting EQ customization and overall fine-tuning of sound settings, with no effective fixes available. - The volume and chat mixer controls are combined awkwardly, making them less user-friendly than competitors’ separate buttons or dials; the volume knob is also fragile and may break if dropped. - Uneven pressure from ear cup arms can cause discomfort for some users during long sessions. - Automatic power cut-off designed to conserve battery can be inconvenient in quieter situations, and the low battery beeping is disruptive. - Sound balance is not perfect, with some users finding treble overpowering the bass, which affects immersion during intense gameplay. - Not natively compatible with Xbox consoles without purchasing a separate USB transmitter; verify compatibility before buying. - Some users feel the price is high relative to the performance, especially compared to earlier models that offered better comfort and sound quality. - The headset’s plastic construction, while sturdy, lacks flexibility and can feel plasticky or less premium than expected. ## About This Product The A20 Wireless headset Gen 2 is designed to give you gaming audio freedom on several levels.Its 2.4 GHz signal provides an extended wireless range and with the flip-to-mute microphone you can easily choose if you want to be heard or not. Additionally, the headset’s long lasting comfort and battery life allow you to game through those marathon sessions.You can add an extra USB transmitter for Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 (sold separately) for an expanded console compatibility, which means you never have to switch headsets again. ## Last Seen Prices | Retailer | Price | Availability | Last seen | Store's standard terms | |----------|-------|-------------|-----------|------------------------| | [My Store](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/Y2MwkYwyEP0bD5BnxrAP?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $36.00 | In Stock | 2023-05-15 (may have changed) | | | [My Store](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/CnBUjG8jUjz2q5DlxcC1?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $36.00 | In Stock | 2023-05-11 (may have changed) | | | [My Store](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/sJAK91UdckuMK0lOE9wr?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $36.00 | In Stock | 2023-05-15 (may have changed) | | | [BUYA.COM](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/BL5Ra3dSpG2yqlkVtGjs?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $59.99 | In Stock | 2023-07-11 (may have changed) | | | [retailers/reebelo](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/a4fa82e1-e0f2-1ed2-094e-953ca8d3821a?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $62.00 | In Stock | 2025-12-23 (may have changed) | | | [CellXpo.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/C7UGiZuJYWzp5dQTdhgh?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $74.95 | In Stock | 2024-07-15 (may have changed) | | | [eSureBuy.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/PdbEnzCN8VBUKKgZt174?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $79.95 | In Stock | 2024-07-15 (may have changed) | | | [Gamesruslive](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/8E3kDLT7ov6bD2N2SGV8?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $79.99 | In Stock | 2023-12-19 (may have changed) | | | [retailers/bhphotovideo](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/A2MjYAhKZrz2VzbNEMom?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $89.99 | In Stock | 2025-12-23 (may have changed) | 30-day returns (in store too) | | [retailers/logitechg](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/6ce1b38c-42d5-f1dc-4bde-77fbdd54ba93?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $89.99 | In Stock | 2025-12-23 (may have changed) | | | [retailers/target](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/fJ72LJA6q4zmQ6nRKy3P?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $89.99 | In Stock | 2025-12-23 (may have changed) | 90-day returns (in store too) · free return shipping · free shipping on $35+ | | [retailers/bestbuy](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/ZDkgVsEVgqMfxemldgw5?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $89.99 | In Stock | 2025-12-23 (may have changed) | 15-day returns (in store too) · free return shipping · free shipping on $35+ | | [retailers/pcrichard](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/fMHvJJ5MCodnwn9AC4oV?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $89.99 | In Stock | 2025-12-23 (may have changed) | | | [ASTRO Gaming](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/lZztrVNvYyDVaZc56hb7?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $89.99 | In Stock | 2023-12-19 (may have changed) | | | [Market America Brands / Shop.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/J38I92nboCcIOFMB3VTy?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $89.99 | In Stock | 2023-12-19 (may have changed) | | | [Sears](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/d5721ac0-b86b-0d91-218a-5de31dac4ae0?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $89.99 | In Stock | 2023-12-19 (may have changed) | | | [eCrater](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/TjTrYDpt5ZTGccnK1Znc?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $95.99 | In Stock | 2023-07-11 (may have changed) | | | [retailers/basselectronics](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/6c442fca-66a0-e515-82d2-81a761db40cc?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $102.07 | In Stock | 2025-12-23 (may have changed) | | | [Focus Camera & Lifestyle by Focus](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/FRlFnu8hlrorB3UEHW93?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $103.99 | In Stock | 2022-09-26 (may have changed) | 30-day returns | | [Walmart](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/VJaUUr21NE7efEYvfYkv/offers/jQjQEctAajfDfPLaYIUt?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $103.99 | In Stock | 2022-11-30 (may have changed) | | *Store terms are each retailer's standard return and shipping policy from ShopSavvy's retailer research;
