# Aqua Clear Fish Tank Filter *Published: 2026-03-15 | Updated: 2026-03-15 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/aqua-clear-fish-tank-filter* --- **Brand:** Aqua Clear **Price Range:** $1 - $110.22 across 45 retailers ## Pros - Operates extremely quietly, making it ideal for living room tanks without any annoying motor noise. - Adjustable flow rate up to 150 gallons per hour, allowing efficient filtration and water recirculation multiple times per hour. - Removable filter media holder enables easy customization and maintenance while running, if done carefully. - Uses a three-stage filtration system (sponge, charcoal, bio-blocks) that provides superior water cleaning compared to simpler bio-wheel filters. - Includes a bypass system to maintain water flow even when filters start to clog, preventing flow restriction issues. - Durable, reusable sponge filter reduces replacement frequency and helps protect small fry by preventing them from being sucked in. - Low profile design barely protrudes above the tank, maintaining a neat display without bulky parts. - Easy to disassemble for cleaning the impeller and chamber, with interchangeable parts that reduce cartridge replacement needs. - Maintains prime for over 3 hours if water level is kept at the black rim, increasing reliability. - Performs well in both freshwater and marine tanks, keeping water clear and healthy for long periods. ## Cons - Some users experienced repeated failures causing water leaks, with customer service offering limited solutions like just sending an o-ring instead of a full fix. - No built-in on/off switch or easy disconnect feature, making servicing or feeding routines slightly inconvenient. - Cleaning the hard-to-reach U-channel tube requires special flexible brushes, adding a bit of maintenance hassle. - The cover can occasionally rattle, though it is fixable with a rubber band. - Newer models may have weaker suction and less powerful water flow compared to previous versions. - Durability concerns surfaced, with some filters failing after extended use, despite good initial performance. - Proper installation is crucial—incorrect tube placement can hurt performance, which may confuse less experienced users. ## Specifications | Attribute | Value | |-----------|-------| | model | Aqua Clear | | mpn | Fish Tank Filter | | sku | 10 to 30 Gallons | | voltage | 110v | | brand | Aqua Clear | ## Last Seen Prices | Retailer | Price | Availability | Last seen | |----------|-------|-------------|-----------| | [entirelypetspharmacy.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/hz7NVCwrBQeFjci3lhz8?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $1.00 | In Stock | 2023-07-09 (may have changed) | | [Amazon](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/m9MA7vB6mWwKNuauCOFw?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $29.99 | In Stock | 2023-05-01 (may have changed) | | [Modern Aquarium](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/tWmSS0R61b4PhlEdSUCz?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $32.95 | In Stock | 2023-02-21 (may have changed) | | [Bay Bridge Aquarium and Pet](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/FmgLVWry5qGKtmwKDB4b?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $32.99 | In Stock | 2023-08-01 (may have changed) | | [healthy pets](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/82PvBxm0eXPMbjnJn30Y?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $32.99 | In Stock | 2023-01-17 (may have changed) | | [Pet SupplieZ](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/aMMp0i6QSgeJnZYFOO9t?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $32.99 | In Stock | 2022-07-05 (may have changed) | | [TruVuAquariums.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/O6tCh6aco9s4Ia81HWTV?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $32.99 | In Stock | 2023-10-01 (may have changed) | | [Aquatic Sealife](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/8p7le9KWSHf1tDcrGB1r?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $34.99 | In Stock | 2023-05-01 (may have changed) | | [Discount Bandit](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/RjTKC0k3Is80YXfErD5w?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $35.41 | In Stock | 2023-01-17 (may have changed) | | [Pets Warehouse](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/8aY2W5PnP1eXiBcD9eqc?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $36.99 | In Stock | 2023-10-01 (may have changed) | | [DrugSuppyStore.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/IxTkSivbD5ou0gv78eX8?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $38.46 | In Stock | 2022-08-16 (may have changed) | | [AquaCave.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/Zq7hIqy3inFhQEGLcwQI?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $38.99 | In Stock | 2023-10-01 (may have changed) | | [Aquatic Warehouse](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/msOOoia8ZP6lZ0DBY6gJ?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $38.99 | In Stock | 2023-07-09 (may have changed) | | [marineandreef.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/trjh94pbXraNKDfPRBAh?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $38.99 | In Stock | 2023-10-01 (may have changed) | | [SaltwaterAquarium.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/6dQbXfitTFMiJ3PbuzoI?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $38.99 | In Stock | 2023-10-01 (may have changed) | | [Walmart](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/HAvCcO1vQieblIywjxrY?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $38.99 | In Stock | 2022-10-06 (may have changed) | | [Aquatic Sealife](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/qxTdR0MyYw4f4Gbdeg3S?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $39.99 | In Stock | 2022-07-20 (may have changed) | | [Blue Fish Aquarium](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/UMr49Fx9HZTUyhPTibuK?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $39.99 | In Stock | 2023-10-01 (may have changed) | | [FiltersFast.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/0CrMjq5hDySiYUxJzad0?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $39.99 | In Stock | 2023-10-01 (may have changed) | | [National Pet Warehouse](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/4h5aKabqjbIzOsl0p3ks/offers/BATBuWeDHOdKMP7BFK8t?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $39.99 | In Stock | 2023-07-09 (may have changed) | [See every retailer and the full price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/aqua-clear-fish-tank-filter) --- *About this page: ShopSavvy compares prices across thousands of retailers, aggregates expert and user reviews, and tracks price history to help you make informed buying decisions.
