**Brand:** AMANA
**Price Range:** $79.99 - $2949 across 14 retailers

## Pros
- Once running, the washer cleans clothes effectively, achieving good washing results after the initial learning curve.
- Offers a variety of washing cycles tailored to different load sizes and fabric types.
- Automatic water level control works well for heavy-duty loads, efficiently adjusting water for large loads like towels.
- The washer is compact with a 3.5 cu. ft. capacity, suitable for smaller spaces or lighter laundry needs.
- Some normal operational noises and vibrations are expected due to design changes, which users can get used to over time.
- The slower agitator and faster spin cycle are intentional design features aimed at modern washing performance.
- Helpful user-created instructional videos exist to clarify startup and cycle settings, making it easier to understand the machine.

## Cons
- The machine shakes and vibrates excessively during spin cycles, even with small loads, causing noise and potential damage risk.
- The basket suspension and overall build quality feel flimsy and less durable compared to older Whirlpool models.
- The lid locks during spinning, preventing users from adjusting loads when the machine goes out of balance.
- Automatic water sensing frequently overfills the tub on delicate or small loads, wasting water and detergent.
- Complex, unintuitive startup procedure requires multiple knob turns and sometimes pushing start twice to begin a cycle.
- Frequent mechanical issues including malfunctioning spin and agitator components after under two years of use.
- Customer support is slow, unresponsive, and frustrating to deal with, often not honoring warranty beyond 12 months.
- Repair costs for key components like the gear case can exceed the price of a new machine, making maintenance uneconomical.
- The washer lacks an end-of-cycle buzzer, which many users find inconvenient.
- Sensor technology and the increased number of digital parts contribute to frequent failures, making it less reliable.
