## Studies

### We checked 270 products on Google's two shopping screens. 80 had two different prices.

Published 2026-09-28; data captured 2026-09-07.

On 2026-09-07 we asked Google 240 shopping questions and matched 270 products that appeared in both Google AI Mode and the Google Shopping tab on the same day, using Google's own product identifier. 190 carried the same price on both screens. 80 did not, and when they disagreed AI Mode showed the higher price 60% of the time.

- 270 products matched across AI Mode and the Shopping tab on the same day
- 190 priced the same on both screens (within 0.5%)
- 80 priced differently: AI Mode higher on 48, lower on 32
