# Data API Referral Program

Refer developers to the ShopSavvy Data API and earn bonus API credits. Share your link; when a developer you refer signs up and becomes a paying subscriber, you earn bonus credits — automatically.

## How it works

1. Grab your referral link from the Referrals page in your Data API dashboard: `https://shopsavvy.com/data?ref=YOUR_CODE`.
2. Share it — in your project README, a blog post, a tutorial, or anywhere developers will see it.
3. When someone signs up through your link and becomes a paying Data API subscriber, you earn bonus credits on your account.

## Reward

- **Account credits.** Bonus credits are added to your account once a referred developer's first payment clears. The credits top up your monthly allowance and carry over until you use them.
- Rewards apply only to brand-new accounts, only on the first paid conversion, and are reversed if the referred subscription is refunded, disputed, or cancelled within the clawback window.
- You can't refer yourself.
