Maintaining landline service during power outages is critical for medical alerts, emergency calls, and staying connected during disasters. With the switch from copper to fiber, your phone now depends on a modem that needs continuous power to function.

Most UPS systems provide only minutes of backup power—far from the hours or days needed during extended outages. We've tested backup power solutions specifically for landline phone systems to find options that deliver meaningful runtime when you need it most.

Our picks range from traditional UPS systems offering several hours of protection to portable power stations providing true 24-hour backup. Each recommendation delivers proven performance for keeping your landline operational during real-world outages.

## Recommendations

### 1. EcoFlow DELTA 2 Portable Power Station (Overall Pick)

Most UPS systems promise hours but deliver minutes. The EcoFlow DELTA 2 actually delivers 24+ hour runtime for landline backup—the first solution that works when power goes out for real.

**Key Features:**

- Six outlets plus USB ports power everything during outages
- 80-minute recharging with solar compatibility
- Dead silent operation with smartphone monitoring
- 6+ year lifespan with proven battery technology

**Real-World Performance:**
- Modem alone: 3+ days continuous
