No, you should not use the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 in a sauna, steam room, or hot tub. While water-resistant, extreme heat can damage the watch.

## Why Heat Is Dangerous

Samsung explicitly warns against sauna use:

- **Seal degradation**: Extreme heat damages rubber seals and adhesives
- **Steam penetration**: Steam particles can breach protective barriers
- **Thermal shock**: Rapid temperature changes (sauna to cold plunge) create seal gaps

## Environment Reference

| Environment | Safe? | Reason |
|-------------|-------|--------|
| Swimming pool | ✅ Yes | Designed for this |
| Ocean (shallow) | ✅ Yes | Rinse after |
| Dry sauna | ❌ No | Heat degrades seals |
| Steam room | ❌ No | Heat + moisture is worst |
| Hot tub | ❌ No | Hot water + chemicals |
| Cold plunge after heat | ❌ No | Thermal shock |

## Long-Term Damage

Sauna exposure may not cause immediate visible damage. Seals degrade gradually, and problems may appear months later during normal activities.

## If Already Exposed

1. Let watch cool gradually at room temperature
2. Don't charge until completely cool
3. Check for condensation under display
4. Monitor for unusual behavior

Contact Samsung support if you notice issues.

## Recommendation

Remove your Galaxy Watch 8 before entering high-temperature environments. For sauna timing, use a simple heat-resistant clock or leave your phone outside with a timer.
